Our Farm Story

It all started when…

Agriculture is in our genes. I grew up on the farm that my Great Grandfather Roberson first purchased over 100 years ago. Following in his footsteps, I would peer out the farmhouse window when I was little, staring at my grandfather’s tractor as he kept up the family’s land, hoping to one day also continue the legacy. And that I did—with a formal degree in Agronomy from Virginia Tech and over two decades of experience working the farm, I am proud to carry on the tradition.

My ancestors’ reasons for farming remains our steadfast goal today—to provide honest food with knowledge and passion. We are relentless in our dedication and commitment to sustainable practices, and hope to share that with your family for years to come.

Our Practices

A few generations ago, most of our relatives lived on or had a connection to a farm. In our rapidly progressive society, we’ve grown distant from that lifestyle. At Williamson Farms, our family has strived to maintain that old way of life, and our century-old family farm continues to flourish through partnership with both the land and our animals.

It can be difficult in today’s age to keep track of the origin of your food and the practices behind it. We understand that you want to keep informed and make the best possible choices for you and your family, therefore we believe in providing you with the utmost transparency and quality available. Our practices concentrate on animal welfare, optimal nutrition, and attention to environmental health and impact. All our animals are pasture raised, grass fed, and never, ever receive preventative antibiotics. We are dedicated to sustainable farming, and want to share that passion and experience with you.

Whether it be a weekday meal or a special Holiday dinner, you can trust Williamson Farms to bring delicious and sustainable products to your table to share with family and friends. Let’s make our family farm your family farm.
